Start your Musical Journey
Piano Lessons
Whether you're a beginner or an intermediate player, my piano lessons focus on developing proper technique, musicality, and creativity. I work with students to build a strong foundation in music theory and sight-reading while selecting challenging pieces that match their interests.
Regardless of age or skill level, piano lessons offer a rewarding opportunity to develop discipline and self-expression.
Voice Lessons
Voice lessons focus on developing proper breathing, tone production, and healthy vocal techniques to help you find your unique sound and share it with the world.
From musical theater to opera, pop music, and everything in between, I can help build your confidence, expressiveness, and reach your full potential as a vocalist.
Musical Munchkins
Introduce your child to the joys of music-making! Designed for babies ages 0-3 and their caregiver, these group sessions foster creativity, rhythm, and self-expression through play.
In each class, children participate in fun, age-appropriate activities that incorporate singing, movement, and exploration of simple percussion instruments. Through play-based learning, they develop a strong foundation in rhythm, pitch, and musical concepts while building gross and fine motor skills, social interaction, and language development.
Our nurturing environment encourages children to discover their innate musical abilities, express themselves creatively, and develop a lifelong love for music.
Mini Maestros
Nurture creativity, coordination, and confidence through the power of music in this early childhood class designed for children ages 3–6 with their caregiver.
Each session is filled with dynamic, age-appropriate singing and movement activities. Mini Maestros explore a variety of instruments (including the xylophone!) with growing independence. Through play-based learning, children build a strong foundation in rhythm, pitch, and musical concepts while developing motor skills, social interaction, and early literacy skills.
The small, intimate class size encourages every child to discover their innate musical abilities, express themselves creatively, and develop a lifelong love of music.
Practice Tips
Schedule your lessons consistently every week
Schedule a consistent time for practice daily
Focus on quality, not quantity
Check your posture before you start
Practice SLOWLY in small chunks, whether it’s one hand, one phrase, or one section at a time. Remember, SLOW WORK LEADS TO FAST PROGRESS
Increase the tempo ONLY if you can play two times with accuracy, good posture, and proper hand/finger positions.
Isolate and repeat the hard sections–do not go back to the beginning and start over.
Repeat and repeat. Mastery comes with repetition.
Stop if you are making the same mistakes or going through the motions on mental “autopilot.”

“I began my piano lessons as a youngster. Not until my 50s did I receive my piano as a gift (the one from when I was a youngster) and in my 60s resume my musical journey currently consisting of private piano lessons with Soo Young. She works with me. She has made it a fun journey in music..”
